Zaniri Golden Retrievers
Bear is a handsome boy at 70 lbs with a field coat that is super easy to manage. He is an excellent marker and never tires of the game. He is fun to work with, smart and willing to do the right thing. He runs with style and courage and is an excellent water dog. Bear successfully introduced owners Bev & Joe Tecklenburg to dog training and field work, with help from co-breeders Joanne Kinney & Mark Akkola. When at Mark & Colleen’s he lives with any number of dogs, usually 4 to 6, and one cat, the actual ruler of the house. Bear loves to be one of the family.

Bear passed his first Junior Hunt test in the US at 9 months and earned his JH Title in Canada at 10 months. Patti Kiernan took us on in California that winter and introduced us to the world of Field Trials. It took 3 trials before we finished one. Bear ended his Derby year with 16 points, mostly thanks to Mark and a 1st in California with Bev at the last trial of the year. He went on to the Qualifying in spring 2015 finishing 7 out of 9 trials, handled by Mark, with 2 firsts, a second, a third, an RJ and a JAM.  In Canada, Bev also took a first place in the fall.
