Dez
Dez was the second of our two foundation bitches, with similar lines to Fire but sufficiently different that we could maintain somewhat parallel breeding lines, oriented towards the same goals but with enough differences that we would keep our genetic options open. Dez's mom, Dee Dee was co-bred by Laureen with Dr. Cynthia Trann from dogs we knew and trained with in Ontario. Cindys' dogs were typey, pretty, birdy and completely willing in every way and Dee Dee especially brought her excellent water desire into our foundation. We had shown Dee to her Canadian Championship for Cindy and she kindly allowed us to co-bred a litter out in B.C. from which we produced wonderful working dogs, finishable Canadian champions and lots of water desire, although not a lot of coat although this was an out of coat photo.
Dez herself not only excelled in water desire and birdiness, but she also provided generations of dogs with that gung ho working attitude blended with a sweet and easy going family companion. All of her litters were easy to raise, train and were completely healthy. Dez produced 5 champions, a Senior Hunter and Fyre, who placed in multiple Qualified All Age Field Trial stakes, the epitome of our breeding goals.

- Zaniri's Design of Hail N'Fyre Can CD "Hailey" is co-owned with Lori and Bill Village and produced two lovely litters for us. She is also the epitome of trainability, taught minimal CD skills by Lori who earned two legs, then when she was sent over to Joanne for breeding, went into the ring and passed a third leg with very little additional work.
- Zaniri Kodiak Golden Storm Can JH WCI "Kodiak" is one of the best young dogs we've ever trained with, trained by owner Mike Ryan, a complete novice (busy soccer dad) almost entirely in his local park and Kodiak could easily have gone on to Master with more training time available. Another natural water dog who didnt even think about cheating.
