We were very pleased to have this chance to bring a stronger dose of field pedigrees back into our lines. We also wanted to have another red dog as we seem to be innundated with blondes the last few years. Scamble is the 4th generation of our breeding; out of Kali, who we bred and originally coowned with friends Paula and Larry Bernard.
Her sire is the well known field trial dog, FTCH AFTCH Cedarpond's RV. Scramble is a daily pleasure to train, focused, intense, calm and intelligent. She earned one UKC Finished leg with co-owner Anne Cobley and is extremely talented in MH work, learning complex concepts with ease. However, due to some early mistakes before Anne took her on, she has become trial wise and we are giving her a rest and she is going to work on obedience for a while. She has now earned her Canadian CD (thank you Lynne Dowling) with 3 passes in a row and scores of 194, 191 and finally 196. Scramble's exemplary attitude and temperament were demonstrated by her total relaxation at ringside on day two of the obedience trial, as she lay on her back playing with her stuffy while awaiting her turn in the ring. When its time to work, up she goes and turns on a 196 performance. Way to go!
Scramble has also earned a Match Group 3 as a puppy and is a good size bitch, 23 inches tall with an excellent front and neck and a substantial body. She has dropped incisors but a good bite, and no missing teeth. Her topline is good with slightly higher tail carriage, although not curled up. Of course she has her Hip, elbow, heart and eye clearances. We are very pleased with not only the working ability of her three litters, but also the conformation qualities. Scramble produced a repeat breeding of her 2006 litter in spring 2007 and is now retired from breeding but we may try for a UD if time permits.

Scramble's 2nd Litter (x Can Ch Donamor Beale Street Blues Boy JH WC CD CGN), born August 28, 2006
- Zaniri's Aurelie Saida is co-owned with Dave and Laura Anderson and their two special daughters. This is a hunting family and we hope to see multiple titles. Saida is very smart and a terrific marker with lots of drive, so the sky is the limit.
- Zaniri's Seven Seas of Rhye (Saba) is co-owned with Peter and Anne Tilbury and also shows great promise in field training.
- Zaniri's Jazz on Baker Street (Sherlock) is owned by our good friend Darryl Wilmot, is in obedience training and will be shown when mature.
Scramble's 3rd Litter (x Can Ch Donamor Beale Street Blues Boy JH WC CD CGN), born March 13, 2007
- Zaniri's King of the Blues is owned by Suzi Beber and Tommy Wright (owners of BB King) and we expect him to compete in many venues.
- Zaniri's (TBD), owned by Mark and Helen Ryan will be learning all areas of competition on the East Coast.
- Zaniri's TBD owned by Rob and Kathy Neilson, and a future field trial obedience dog.
