Zak
Zak goes back to Zaniri dogs, and Goldendreams, another dedicated multi-purpose kennel. He is a true multi-purpose dog who we have watched train and compete since birth. Zak is Lori's first dog and the two have learned, trained and trialed together fore every leg of every title.
Zak is a terrific working dog, honest, hardworking and reliable. Zak and Lori completed their Master title with 5 straight challenging tests. Lori and Zak were ready to go for the Qualified All Age Field Trial title when Zak was regrettably retired from field work by a shoulder injury sustained while hiking. Not one to sit and enjoy the couch for long (although it is a favorite spot) Zak continued competing in obedience earning his MOTCH with ease and then trying something new the team headed out and easily earned a Draft Dog title. The combination of titles and points earned Zak the GRCC title of MVC (Master Versatility Dog). He was the second dog to ever be awarded with this title.
In July 2009 Zak came out of retirement (2005 was the last time competing in field events and 2007 for obedience) and entered the GRCC National Specialty with the hopes of winning the Nan Gordon Trophy. It is awarded to the dog that obtains a pass at a field event, obedience score, and conformation ribbon at the event. Zak easily passed the WCX, earned a 197 in Open B and was awarded Best Field Dog in Show! In 26 years this was the 10 th time the trophy has been awarded. Also proving he is not just a pretty face with titles, his son, Chevy, was hot on his heels and a qualifier as well.
Zak is a core part of the Little family which has changed dramatically over the years, and this great dog just goes with the flow.
Zak OFA hips (Good), elbows normal, heart normal, and eyes clear each year. He is also tested prcd-PRA clear by Optigen.
He has sired several litters, and is available at stud to approved bitches. Frozen semen is available.
Zak has multiple good looking, hard driving working kids out just maturing into competive levels. The kids are exactly what we expected; birdy, trainable and good looking. Contact Lori for a stud package.

- HR Zaniri's Mistress of Maplebear Can WCX SH TD CGC Am WCX. Tess is co-owned by Judi Dunlop and Kinneys, and we expect she will follow on in the family footsteps with many more titles.
- Zaniri Drmachine of Maplebears Can WC "Benson" is co-owned by Katherine Marshall & Lori Little and is another good looking, birdy dog.
- Maplebears Zeke of Zaniri Can WC "Zeke" is a great hunter and family companion for owners Ted & Bev McGurk.
Zak's 2nd & 3rd Zaniri Litter (x SR Zaniri's Island Girl SH WCX CD):
- Zaniri's Custom Coupe Can MH DD CD WCX Am WC (Chevy) is owned by Zaks' owner Lori Little and will be competing in Master in 2009. He has sired his first litter from natural breedings and we expect him to carry on the producing good looking retrievers that are a pleasure to live with. Chevy qualified along with his dad for the Nan Gordon trophy at the GRCC 2009 National Specialty.
- Zaniri's Water Sprite Can CD WC JH (Summer) is co-owned with Pipers' mom, Linda Langford and already has Senior Hunter legs. She is an incredible marker and has a terrific work ethic. Summer suffered a very severe leg injury in fall 2008 so unfortunately her training will be very curtailed.
- Masi "Zaniri's Gran Criterium Am Can JH is owned by Jerry & Sheila Leitch and we look forward to him going on to more titles as well.
- Brady is owned by friends on Vancouver Island and spends his time running on the beaches

- Zaniri's Canadian Sunshine Am Can JH WC and SH legs. Sunny is owned by Joan and Bob Fetty of Positive Dog Training and is already a star at classes and will be competing in all areas of performance competition in AKC, CKC and UKC.
